Greek/Mediterranean food is a favorite in my house, so when I saw the signs about Corfu "Coming Soon" and that it was Greek, well, to say I was excited was a serious understatement. They've been open about 10 days or so, and I had the opportunity to visit them this week. The hubs and I already had plans for dinner and a movie but I needed something for the kidlets (ages 20 and 13) and I didn't want to pick up Mcdonalds so I stopped in the Corfu. The first thing I noticed was the music...very Mediterranean sounding and a bit loud, the waitress/cashier was humming along while she set up silverware. The walls are a bright sky blue and it's accented by turquoise and blonde wood in the booths along the walls. In the center are about 3 mahogany colored tables (kind of dark compared to the bright lightness of everything else). There was one other couple seated and I grabbed one of the menus up next to the door. After perusing the items for a bit, I went to place my "To Go" order at the register. I ordered the Gyro sandwich, Greek Sausage Souflaki sandwich, a piece of baklava, a side of tzatziki and a side of pita. The entire order came to about $23. When I ordered the Gyro I was asked if I wanted the pork or lamb and I chose the lamb. I asked the waitress if it was a lamb/beef blend (which is common) and she said no. That it is all lamb, loafed and cooked on the rotisserie. I'm thinking that they family that owns the restaurant either had another place or may still have another place as she said that although the lamb is common in Greece, that many Americans find it over powering which is why they serve the pork (also rotisserie) and that it sells better. After a few moments I got my order and brought it home. I told the boys that I wanted to taste the meat, as for me a gyro is all about the bread and the meat. I really enjoyed the lamb. It wasn't dry (which often happens) and it was seasoned well. The sausage looked like smoked sausage and was cut into rounds. The taste was different though...a different combination of herbs and spices like cinnamon and all spice. Very tasty. The side of tzatziki is quite large, between a quarter and half cup container. The baklava was just "meh". If you are wanting a good baklava, I highly recommend Olea Mezze Grille in Winter Park off of Hwy 17-92. Corfu's was odd, with a lot of honey, but still managed to be dry. Overall, I think it has potential. My next test will be to sample their spanakopita. PROS: -nice different addition to the Winter Springs Community and on 434 which has minimal dining options. -affordable. two meals for less than $25. -on site parking CONS: -not a lot of business which makes you doubt their product -baklava not the best

Corfu is a hidden treasure in Winter Springs. A warm and inviting little Greek cafe, the food is prepared fresh each day by the owners. My particular favorites include the lemon chicken soup, which is delicious. I also love the gyro platter. The fresh pita bread and tangy tsiki sauce are wonderful.

I went in here with high expectations based on some previous reviews from others. And yes, the place is quaint and family ran but I honestly wasn't too impressed with the food here. I ordered a side salad, pastitsio, gyro (for husband) and spanakopita. I had been craving spanakopita ALL DAY and I definitely had to go in and appease the pregnancy appetite. However, this was the most disappointing thing I ordered because the spinach did not taste fresh at all. I believe it was either canned or frozen and you can definitely taste a difference. Plus, there was hardly any cheese in it. Just overall sad about that. Pastitsio was actually pretty good. I like the sauce and my husband agreed it was the best thing we ate. I am not sure about the gyro meat because I don't eat lamb but my husband seemed to enjoy it. Side salad.... wasn't Greek. Err...... wait. What? Italian dressing? This is just weird. Side salads should be GREEK with GREEK dressing. Too much onion. blegh. Best part of the meal was the pita bread. Very yummy!!!! I don't think we will be back, unfortunately. (even though the owner was very sweet and nice)

Truly a hidden gem! Food is delicious. Gyro meat tender and plenty. As other reviewers indicated if you wanted good Greek food you had to go to Tarpon Springs, FL. But that is no longer the case. Right here in Winter Springs. Owners very proud of the fact that everything is made fresh and they take care of you personally.

I have a new favorite restaurant in this side of Winter Springs, now! The prices are reasonable, the portions are generous, and everything that our table ordered was delicious. I went simple, with a Gyro platter. Not sure how big it would be, I also ordered the Hummus appetizer. Both were fresh and wonderful, but I ended up taking most of the hummus home for later. The interior is clean but casual, and the service was fast and friendly. I look forward to coming back and trying other items off of their menu.

Hidden gem in Winter Springs. Great food and service, truly a mom and pop operation, which is meant as a compliment. Greek salad was awesome, so too the gyro meat. Highly recommend!

When my family wants great greek food we usually pick a day and drive to Tarpon Springs, Fl. However since we have found Corfu our routine has changed. The food is made completely fresh and comes out piping hot every time. We came here with my year old sister and the owner personally came out and helped set up the tables for our large party of people. He even brought out a rice pudding for her to eat while we waited for the food. Fantastic service here and the people are always just so cheerful. We get the Corfu platter and it is well worth it. Their gyro meat is great too. Will definitely recommend all my greek loving friends here!!!

I went to Corfu for lunch today. I was the only one inside, but it was Monday. The place looks very clean and does have a diner type feel to it. I went to Yelp expecting to see 4-5 stars across the board on this place and was quite surprised with the reviews. First of all, I am not Greek, but I can appreciate good Greek food. I ordered the Gyro, and was not offered a choice of Greek or American. I assume it was the Greek style. The only part that surprised me was the server who called back my food as "One Ji--row". The owner/chef is obviously Greek so I can't imagine he enjoys the mockery of his language. Train your server to respect the culture of the restaurant she is working in. She is the reason for 4 stars instead of 5. Too casual and seems like she walked out of a Denny's and does't know the difference in quality food. My sandwich was full of flavor and it was all fresh. The fries were bagged frozen crinkle fries, but were fine. Another small detail was the silverware. It was of very nice quality and spotless. The plates were really nice too. Those who take great care in small details usually take great care in everything they do! I spoke briefly with the owner who told me with pride all his food is homemade except for his fries which are frozen. It was really good. I will be back to try some other items soon. They have Octopus on the menu. I may be that brave one day....

Tried this place for the first time. It was okay but not great. I had the Gyro platter which was an open Gyro with fries and salad and was tasty. My husband had the fish special also with fries and salad. Also tasty and nice presentation. Downside, we found it a bit pricey - $12 and $16. I had hoped for more ambiance but the deco was extremely plain and felt like a diner rather than a nice Greek place. Staff was friendly and the owner asked us twice if all was good. Will we return? I don't think so anytime soon but glad we checked it out.

Was there for dinner just now and was pleasantly surprised. Ordered Corfu chicken that does resembles chicken Marsala but with slightly different spices. Very tasty and chicken is tender as well. My husband ordered gyro with fries. He likes the gyro. The fries is crispy and well cooked. The waitress was super nice and interactive. She made our visit memorable. Thank you!
